Refleciton 001 (Feb. 2, 2005)

I accidentally found the term of "BLOG" from the Yam website. After I got the general ideas about the features of this Internet service, I began to search and explore more on the Net. My initial understanding about BLOG is that it is an abbreviation of "web log", which is a web site that contains an online personal journal with reflections, comments and often hyperlinks provided by the writer. I was thinking that this tool could be good for setting up students' e-portfolios. I felt ashamed because I, as an instructional technologist, didn't hear about this. However, I also felt invigorated by this new finding. I considered that this might be a good tool for me to create a platform to reflect my ideas and get comments on the applications of the Internet to TESOL. Therefore, I tried to set up a BLOG named e-tesol as a beginning step for my BLOG exploration.
